TAKE ME TO YOUR LEADER LAUNCH DO PICS

Well I expect most of you know the score by now, the new single - Spirit Of The Age is already released and hopefully we'll have something to celebrate come Sunday evening! whilst the bands first all new studio album in some eight years is due to land on planet earth on the 12th September.

To celebrate these momentous events the band hosted a launch party at the world famous Borderline club in London on the 1st September where some 100 lucky fans who won competitions such as the one run by the Museum were joined by Journalists from all spheres of the media. Together a cracking time was had by all which culminated with the band getting up on the tiny stage for a very impromptu two song set, in this case short definitely was sweet as the band romped through Brainbox Pollution and Paradox to the delight of the crowd.

I must at this point also take the opportunity to thank Hawkwind and Voiceprint for organising such an event it was really good for the fans to be able to get up close and personal with the band and it must have given a really good impression to the Journos who were there to see the amount of enthusiasm that there was, thank you guys, you made a lot of people very happy!

Anyway I to must keep this short and sweet as I've got some more Chart Trek work to do!


Actually running a competition does have its advantages as I was able to bring along a couple of mates as my guests. This is Mike who first saw the band 30 years ago but it has to be said has been "out of the loop" for quite a while, not for much longer though I fear as he was totally blown away by yesterdays proceedings and meeting the Captain was a personal highlight for him!

Hawkwind roadies and Spacehead members Dibs and Keith did an admirable job warming the crowd up for the main event, especially when they were joined by Mr Chadwick for a riotous romp through "You Shouldn't Do That.
So it was left to "Celeb fan" Matthew Wright to introduce the main event, the rest, as they say, is history
